GEO, AEO & LLMO — in plain English for local businesses
People still search Google — and they increasingly ask AI assistants for a plumber nearby, a dentist open Saturday, or “who fixes AC in my zip code.” SchemaPaste helps freelancers show clients what checkable structured-data readiness looks like — without fake ChatGPT ranks or invented citation metrics.

What these acronyms mean for your customer base
Customers find local services through maps, classic search, and assistant-style answers. Entity clarity and structured data do not guarantee a mention — they reduce ambiguity when systems try to describe you.
Generative Engine Optimization
GEO
Making your business clear enough that AI assistants can describe you accurately — who you are, where you work, and how to reach you — using the same facts on your site and in structured data.
Answer Engine Optimization
AEO
Preparing for answer-style results (featured answers, assistant replies) by stating services, FAQs, and contact details in machine-readable form — not by chasing an inventable “AI rank.”
Large Language Model Optimization
LLMO
Giving language models clean entity signals (LocalBusiness schema, complete name/phone/address, Service or FAQ markup) so summaries are less likely to invent or confuse your business with a neighbor.
Schema & GEO 101 — why it matters
Enough context to pitch the work without overselling rankings. Freelancer kickoffs, white-label PDF handoff, and honest client impact — merged here so the homepage stays thin.
Subtype beats generic LocalBusiness
schema.org/Plumber (or Dentist, Restaurant…) tells crawlers and answer engines what the business actually is. Generic LocalBusiness alone is a weaker entity signal.
NAP consistency is the foundation
Name, address, phone must match the site, GBP, and citations. Schema that invents a different phone is worse than no schema.
FAQ + Service help AI answers
FAQPage and Service nodes make common questions and offerings machine-readable — useful for GEO/AEO readiness, not a ranking guarantee.
Why freelancers use a kickoff pack
Local onboarding repeats: score the live site, paste LocalBusiness JSON-LD, hand a PDF with prioritized fixes. SchemaPaste is that artifact — not another SEO suite to babysit.
White-label PDF, not a client dashboard
Paid reports (Client Handoff or Pro) remove the watermark and can put your logo on the cover. Clients get a clean deliverable. You keep the tooling — SchemaPaste is not a full white-label portal.
Client impact without overselling
Clearer entity + structured data reduces ambiguity when maps, search, or assistants describe the business. It does not promise Map Pack #1 or ChatGPT citations — pitch the checklist, not magic ranks.
What SchemaPaste delivers
A kickoff-ready score, checkable GEO/AEO signals, fixes, paste-ready JSON-LD, and a white-label PDF — not a full client dashboard.
Local readiness score
A deterministic 0–100 checklist from NAP, HTTPS, viewport, schema presence, and related technical signals — not a search or ChatGPT ranking.
GEO / AEO readiness checklist
Pass / Partial / Missing on checkable signals: LocalBusiness JSON-LD, name/telephone/address completeness, and FAQ and/or Service schema — plus a structured-data readiness sub-score.
Prioritized fixes + paste-ready JSON-LD
Concrete next steps and a LocalBusiness pack you can paste into WordPress or Webflow, then verify in Rich Results Test.
White-label PDF deliverable
A client-ready report (watermarked free; clean PDF + cover branding via paid one-time or Pro). SchemaPaste is the PDF deliverable — not a full white-label dashboard.
FAQ
Honest answers for freelancers and the local clients they share this page with.
Will this get my client to #1 in Maps or ChatGPT?
No. SchemaPaste is a technical checklist and paste-ready markup pack. It does not guarantee rankings, rich results, Map Pack placement, or AI citations. We stay honest so you can sell the deliverable without overpromising.
How is this different from Yoast / Rank Math schema?
WP plugins generate markup inside WordPress. SchemaPaste is a kickoff artifact for freelancers: score the live site, produce LocalBusiness JSON-LD + GEO checklist + client PDF — including Webflow and non-WP sites. Many people use both.
Where do I paste the JSON-LD?
WordPress: Custom HTML block, header script plugin, or theme head. Webflow: Project Settings → Custom Code, or an Embed. Squarespace: Code Injection. Always re-test with Google Rich Results Test after publish.
Is the PDF white-label?
Free downloads are watermarked. The $39 Client Handoff removes the watermark and applies your cover branding (logo + Prepared by) for that client. Pro ($49/mo) adds unlimited clean branded reports.
Pro vs one-time — which should I buy?
One local site this month → $39 report. Weekly local kickoffs → Pro pays for itself after two clean reports. Start free; upgrade when the watermark gets in the way.
GEO vs SEO — what am I actually scoring?
The main score is classic local technical readiness (HTTPS, NAP, schema presence). GEO/AEO readiness is a separate checklist of structured-data signals (LocalBusiness, entity fields, FAQ/Service) — not an invented ChatGPT rank.
How long does a run take?
About two minutes: name + URL (+ optional preset), wait for the homepage sniff, then copy JSON-LD or download the PDF. Full NAP fields on /generate improve the schema pack.
Who is this for?
Freelancers and small studios who onboard plumbers, HVAC, dentists, restaurants, and similar local clients — and need a repeatable kickoff deliverable, not another heavy SEO suite.
What should I tell a local business owner?
Share this page. Explain that SchemaPaste checks technical and structured-data readiness and gives paste-ready markup — it does not sell fake AI visibility scores or guaranteed assistant mentions.
Explicit non-guarantee
SchemaPaste does not guarantee Google rankings, rich results, AI assistant citations, ChatGPT placement, or any “AI visibility” score. We only report checkable technical and structured-data signals (Pass / Partial / Missing) and generate markup for you to verify. Outcomes depend on your site, GBP, competition, and platforms we do not control. This is technical SEO / marketing guidance — not legal, medical, financial, ADA, or regulatory advice.
